Reviewing the Preliminary Title Report

Updated: Nov 27, 2022

The Preliminary Title Report is a document produced by the title company during the initial stages of the home sale. Please be sure to download all reports and review them thoroughly. While reviewing, pay special attention to loans, debts, judgments, liens and property taxes that appear on the report; we will want to ensure that this is accurate from the start.

The escrow officer will thoroughly review the Preliminary Title Report to help with identifying red flags or concerns, and I suggest that you do the same. You can expect to be informed if there are any concerns or items out of the ordinary on the Preliminary Title Report.

If you have any questions or notice a problem with the report, please let me know immediately so that I can direct your concerns to the escrow officer.
