If you're lucky enough to visit Manzanita, Oregon in the summer, don't miss the Manzanita Farmers Market. Every Friday afternoon from 4-7pm during the summer months, from late May through September. The market is at the Underhill Plaza: 635 Manzanita Ave, Manzanita, OR 97130.
Before your visit, check out the official Manzanita Farmers Market website for vendor listings and stall assignments. Plan on stocking up on everything you need, from farm-fresh vegetables, fresh fruit, local honey, ceramics, art, meats, poultry, dairy products, coffee, eggs and cheese, fiber arts, chocolates, candles, clothing and fashion, pottery, jewelry, smoked fish, locally caught seafood, pies, woodcrafts, beauty products, locally distilled spirits and wines. Get a tarot reading and buy a crystal or wind chime. You can buy plants, and you can even visit with a Master Gardener to ask your gardening questions.
At one end of the market is a stage with live music and entertainment. Relax in the chairs, or throw down a blanket, and listen to the music as you enjoy people and dog watching.
Eat dinner or an afternoon snack at several rotating food carts. There are beverages for sale, or bring your own cold one to quench your thirst as you walk the aisles window shopping.
This is a dog-friendly farmers market, with the condition that dogs are friendly, stay on leash and owners pick up after their pets.
Also, don’t forget to bring cash!
